Old Congregational Burying Ground Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery (located behind St. James Church at foot of Academy Hill). Contact church historian. (203) 375-4447 The Putney-Oronoque Cemetery Established 1827 and run by the Union Cemetery Association. The Putney Chapel was erected in 1844, and the Association was incorporated in 1889. The chapel is still in use today.
