COE, John, Captain, late of Stratford, will dated Jan. 29, 1739/40, Probated May 6, 1741, mentioned his children Robert, Joseph, John, Ephraim, Ebeneser, Hannah wife of James Curtiss of Durham, Katherine wife of David Calhune of Stratford, Maria Wife of Samuel Pickitt, of Durham, and Abigail wife of John Guthery of Durham, and Grandchild Mary Burrit, a daughter of my late daughter Sarah Burritt, deceased, late wife of Isreal Burritt of Durham. Owned land in Durham, Hadden, Middletown, and Stratford. Executors his son Ebenezer, Lieut. Samuel Uffoot and Lieut., Abel Birdsey, both of Stratford. Witnesses James Beach, Robert Walker, Jr., and Rebeckah Walker, page 58. Inventory taken May 16, 1741, by Daniel Hawley and Daniel Porter, and filed May 17, 1741, page 60.


COOKE, Samuel, Rev. late of Fairfield, will dated Nov. 23, 1747, probated Jan. 5, 1747/8, mentioned his wife Abigail, and children Samuel, John, Sarah wife of James Sherman, Ann wife of Rev.
