GREGORY, Thomas, late of Norwalk, Apl. 16, 1712, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Elizabeth Gregory, pages 225 and 386.

Inventory taken Apl. 14, 1712, by Joseph Bouten, Joseph Catchum, and Mathew Gregory, had land between Samuel Comstock and Thomas Hints on Ridgefield Road, mentioned his widow Elizabeth, and children, Benjamin, ae. 9 yrs 17th last Dec; Samuel, ae. 7 yrs 22 last Mch; Elizabeth, ae. 4 yrs 22 last Sept; and Sarah, ae. 2 yrs last Feb; and filed June 14, 1712, page 225.

Mch. 4, 1712/13, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by Captain Joseph Platt and Captain John Raymond, both of Norwalk, to his widow and children aforesaid, page 225.


GRUMAN, John, Captain, late of Fairfield, Feb. 13, 1701, John Gruman, a son of decedent, received all the estate of his father from the administrators, uncle Sergeant John Thomson and Ezekiel Sanford, and gave bond to distribute same when his three brothers and sisters became of age, and administrators discharged. Witnesses John Ward and John Wakeman, page 70.

Nov. 30, 1709, estate ordered distributed by Sergeant John Odell and Joseph Jackson to Joseph Gruman, a son of decedent, page 79.

Dec. 8, 1709, above distributors released and Robert Silliman and Ensign Richard Hubbell appointed in their place, and on Feb. 21, 1709/10, the court ordered a jury of twelve to make a new appraisal, page 70.

Mch. 23, 1709/10, estate distributed by his son John Gruman to himself land next to Ezekiel Sanford and Samuel Gruman; to Joseph; to Thomas; and to Samuel; Abegaile, a daughter of decedent has had her portion. Signed John Gruman, Joseph Gruman, Thomas Grumon by Ezekiell Sanford, and Samuel Gruman by David Sherman, page 172.
