BERDSLY, Samuel, late of Stratford, or Stratfield, Apl. 22, 1707, letters of administration on his estate granted to his sons Daniel and John, page 157.

Inventory taken Apl. 1707, by Samuel Tredwell, Sr., David Sherman and James Bennit, mentioned two parcels of land that decedent gave to his granddaughter Sarah Berdsly in case she marry or become of age, and filed Apl. 22, 1707, page 157.

Apl. 22, 1707, John Berdsly, Jr., and Jonathan Wakely, administrators discharged, and Daniel and John sons of decedent, appointed in their place. page 157.

Apl. 27, 1707, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by Ensign David Sherman, Sergeant Richard Hubbell, and Samuel Hubell, to his widow, and children William, Daniel, John, Benjamin, Nathan, and two daughters, and one daughter of his eldest son William, who is deceased, page 157.

May 27, 1707, Sarah Berdsly, a granddaughter of decedent, made choice of Nathaniel Sherman, of Stratford to be her guardian, page 394.

1708, estate distributed to his widow Abigail, and children, Daniel, John, Benjamin, Nathan, Mary wife of Jonathan Wakley, Hannah wife of John Parrack, and granddaughter Sarah Berdsly, page 118.


BEARS, Barnabas, late of Stratford, Oct. 6, 1714, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Mary Bears, and his son Nathan Bears, pages 374 and 293.

Inventory taken Oct. 29, 1714, by Ambrose Thompson and Ephraim Curtiss, and filed Dec. 1, 1714, page 293.

Dec. 1, 1714, the court appointed John Hawley of Stratford guardian of Joseph, a son of deceased; his widow Mary Bears guardian of Elnathan, Ann and Benjamin, other children of decedent; Abiell, a son of decedent, made choice of his mother to be his guardian, page 293.

Dec. 1, 1714, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by John Tompson and Ephraim Curtiss to his widow and children, six sons and one daughter, no names, page 294.


BEARS, Joseph, late of Fairfield, Apl. 4, 1711, James, a son of decedent, made choice of his cousin Francis Bradly of Fairfield to be his guardian, page 388.
