  In the name of God Amen this 22 Day of August AD 1764 --
  I William Green of Preston in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England. Being far
  advanced in age but of perfect mind and memory. And knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and
  ordain this my last will and Testaments -- I renew the Dedication of my Soul to Almighty God Trusting in the
  Righteousness of Christ for Justification & Life -- my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the
  Discretion of my Executor hereafter Named, and touching the Worldly Goods wherewith it pleased God to bless me with
  in this Life I give and Bequeath in the following Manner -----

  Imprimis My Will that my Just Debt and Funeral Charges be First paid out of my Estate by my Executor hereafter Named
  ------

  Item: I give to my loving Son John Green five Shillings with what I have already given him in Land and other Ways in the
  Whole of his Double Portion -----

  Item: I give to my loving son Jabez five Shillings and all my wearing apparel except what I shall give to Timothy with what
  I have already given him is the whole of his Portion -------

  Item: I give to my loving Son Timothy five shillings and my best great Coat, and best strait bodied Coat, & Camblet
  Jacoat* with what I have already given him is the whole of his Portion -------

  Item: I give to my Two grandsons Wm. & Benjamin Children of my Son Wm. Dec'd. Three Shillings, each of Them, my
  Grandson Joseph there [sic] elder Brother I have this Day given him a Deed of gift of Ten Acres of Land, all which is
  the Whole there Portion out of my Estate --------

  Item: I have this Day given my Daughter Elisabeth a Deed of Gift of about Twenty Acres of Land which is the Whole of
  her Portion -----

  Item: I give to my Daughter Abigail Shelden my Young Black Cow and my riding Mare and my great Bible and my Table
  and great chair and Trammel and fire Shovel and Tongs -----

  Item: I give to my Granddaughter Sarah Benit one of the children of my daughter Sarah Dec'd. One Pound to be pd. To
  her by my Executor in one year after my Decease

  Item: I give to my Three Daughters Ann, Mercy and Abigail all the remainder of my Estate, Both Real & Personal after
  my just Debts, funeral Charges and the Charges of Settling my Estate and the above sd. Legacies are all pd. By my
  Executor, the Remainder to be equally Divided Between them ------

  And I do hereby Disallow and Revoke all Former Wills by me made and ordain my trusty Friend Col: Sam'l Coit Esqr. to
  be sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last will &
  Testament ---- In Witness whereof I do here unto set my Hand and Seal the Day and Year above expressed

  Signed Sealed published pronounced and Declared by the Sd. Wm, Green to be his Last Will and Testament

  The interline between the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Lines from the Top and the Interlines between the Nineteenth
  and Twentieth was done before signing and Sealing
