Max Rabinovitch

At the Church & Allen Funeral home (Berberich-Helmboldt) funeral services
for Max Rabinovitch, formerly of West Main street, were conducted Thursday
afternoon by Rabbi Sidney Schulman of the Brothers of Joseph synagogue.
Interment was in Brothers of Joseph cemetery where Rabbi Schulman conducted
the committal.

Mr. Rabinovitch died Tuesday following a lengthy illness. He was born in
Russia, but spent most of his life in this country. He came to America as a
young man and located in Norwich where he conducted a clothing business for
48 years until it was necessary for him to retire because of his health.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Stromer of Valley Stream, L.I.; two
sons, Nathan, also of Valley Stream and Jack Rabinovitch of Miami Beach,
Florida. There are also four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rabinovitch was very well known in Norwich
and vicinity and leaves a wide circle of friends who learn of his death with
deep regret.
