Preston, New London, CT - Part I
 
Location:On Route 165, beside Long Society Church. The land was set aside
from what now is the Kalnitzky Farm. Land was later added on east.

In memory of Lieut. David Andrus who died Feby 24th 1766, in ye 55th year of his age

In memory of two children of Calvin & Marget Barstow
     Marget Barstow, died Sept. 6, 1780, aged 11 days
     Mary Barstow, died Oct. 5, 1782, aged 4 years and 7 months
     The gift of God, gone at his nod
     We'll weep no more, but him adore

In memory of Mrs. Anna, daugr to Mr. John & Eunice Benjamin, she died June - -, 1785, in ye 26th year of her age
Olive, Daugr  of Stephen & Barbara Benjamin, Died March 5, 1814, aged 2 years & 5 Mos.
In memory of Mr. Abel, son to Mr. Abel & Mrs. Esther Benjamin, who died Aug. ye 9th 1787,
aged 22 years
In memory  of Mrs. Anna, wife of Mr. Elijah Benjamin, who died June 5, 1794,
in the 21st year of her age
     Also their stillborn child, died April 31, 1794
In memory of Mrs. Deborah, wife of Capt. Elijah Benjamin, who died Dec. 28th 1802,  in the
29th year of her age
     Death is uncertain, yet most sure
     Sin in the wound, Christ is the cure

Sacred to the memory of Samuel B. Corning of New York, who died Oct. 12,
1822, in the 27th  year  of his age
      A member of the Lyceum of Natural History of New York
      He was alike respectable for his attainments in
      Natural Science as for his amiable character alike
      beloved by those who knew him for his amiable manner
      and for the punctual discharge of his duties in
      all the relations of life. Hence will his friends and
      family  lament his death in  whom their fondest hopes
      were placed and who was the consolation of his parents
      in  their declining years.
