HAYES, James, late of Norwalk, inventory taken Apl. 1747, probated Dec. 1, 1747, mentioned his children Nathaniel, James, Thomas, Eunice, Mary, Rachel, Elizabeth, and Allyn. Executors Captain Samuel Cluckston and Elnathan Hanford. Witnesses James Fitch, Jr., Sarah Hanford and Hannah Hanford, page 429. Inventory taken Oct. 28, 1747, by Samuel Fitch and Samuel ComTalk, and filed Dec. 1, 1747, page 430.


HAYES, Nathaniel, late of Norwalk, inventory taken Dec. 1, 1748, by Isaac Sherwood and Asahel Raymond, verified by Sarah Hayes and Elnathan Hanford, administrators, and filed Jan. 3, 1748/9, page 530.


HENDRICK, Henry, late of Fairfield, will dated June 12, 1740, probated Oct. 27, 1741, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, and children John, James, David, Hannah Jennings, Sarah Stewart, children of his deceased daughter Elizabeth Smith, Viz: Jabez Smith, Abigail Smith, and Sarah Smith, and children of his deceased son Henry, no names. Executrix his wife Elizabeth. Witnesses Thomas Scribner, Samuel Grey, and Gideon Hurlbut, page 97.


HEPBURN, Peter, late of Stratford, will dated June 16, 1738, probated Jan. 4, 1742/3, mentioned his wife Sarah, and children Joseph, Peter, George, and Sarah Hepburn, legacy to Sarah Newel now living with me, if she attains the age of 18 yrs. Executrix his wife Sarah. Witnesses John Thompson, Martha Thompson, and Prudence Wells, page 186. Inventory Taken May 30, 1743, by John Thompson, David Judson, and Thomas Wells, and filed Mch. 15, 1743/4, page 210.


HICKOX, Benjamin, late of Norwalk, will dated June 17, 1745, probated Dec. 3, 1745, mentioned his wife Sarah, and Children Silas, Ezra, Bethel and Abigail. Grandson Silas Clark a son of my deceased daughter Sarah, (continued on page 173).
