EDWARDS, John, Sr., late of Stratfield, will dated Dec. 3, 1735, probated Sept. 23, 1744, mentioned his wife Mary, and children Abigail Wheeler, William, Thomas, John, Joseph, and children of my daughter Mary Dennie, deceased, no names, legacy to the Church of Christ in Stratfield, and devise to Rev. Samuel Cooke. Owned land in Fairfield, Stratford, Norwalk, and in the Province of New York. Executrix his wife Mary. Witnesses John Odell, Samuel Odell and Samuel Cooke, page 258. Executrix refused to qualify, and letters granted to Thomas Edwards and John Edwards. Appeal taken by William Edwards, page 262. Inventory taken Nov. 11, 1745, by David Sherman, Jr., and Joseph Booth, and filed Jan. 7, 1745/6, page 298.

FAIRCHILD, Thomas, late of Reding, will dated Dec. 20, 1747, probated Apl. 5, 1748, mentioned his wife Mary, and children Timothy, Billie, Nathan, Abiah, Sarah, Mary, and Rhoda. Executors his wife Mary and brother Lieut. Joseph Sanford. Witnesses Samuel Sanford, Elizer Smith, and Sarah Bixby, page 478. Inventory taken Apl. 15, 1748, by Jehu Burr and Samuel Sanford, and filed Aug. 2, 1748, page 479.


FERRY, Ebenezer, late of Reading, will dated Mch. 12, 1743/4, probated Mch. 27, 1744, mentioned his wife Ellen, and children Charles, Rachael, Sarah, John and Ebenezer. Executors his wife Ellen, Ensign Lemuel Sanford and my brother Joseph Ferry of Danbury. Witnesses Rev. Nathaniel Hunn, Gershom Morehouse, and Jonathan Morehouse, page 245.
