LEWIS, Sturgis, late of Fairfield, will dated Aug. 15, 1753, probated Sept. 11, 1753, mentioned his wife Ann, father Lothrup Lewis, brother Jonathan Lewis, sister Deborah Lewis, cousins Ebenezer Wakeman, Jr., a minor, son of Seth Osborn, legacy to ye Church of Christ in Fairfield of which the Rev. Mr. Hobart is Pastor. Executor his honoured father Lothrop Lewis. Witnesses Thaddeus Burr, Lyman Hall and Gideon Wells, page 109. Inventory taken Apl. 3, 1754, by Samuel Burr, Nathan Bulkley and Nathaniel burr, of property in Fairfield, and on Mch. 19, 1754, by Samuel Trowbridge and Thomas Brush of property in New Fairfield, and filed Apl. 4, 1754, page 57. Estate distributed Apl. 3, 1754, by Samuel Rowland, Nathan Bulkley and Samuel Hubble, to his widow Ann Lewis, Lorthrop Lewis and Jonathan Lewis, land at New Fairfield, Ebenezer Wakeman, Jr., Stratton Osborn and (continued on page 268).
