BENNET, Edmond, late of Fairfield, Apl. 14, 1755, letters of administration on his estate granted to William Bennett of Fairfield, page 271. Inventory taken May 20, 1755, by Abram Higgens, Jr., and Joseph Couch, and filed June 5, 1755, page 275. Additional inventory filed Jan. 28, 1756, page 338.

BETTS, Nathan, late of Norwalk, will dated Dec. 18, 1752, probated Jan. 23, 1753, mentioned his wife Mary, and children Mary, Ruth, Tabitha, Sarah, Judith Betts, Nathan, William, and Azor. Executors his son Nathan and brother Samuel Betts. Witnesses James Trobridge, Hezekiah Noble and Samuel Betts, page 16. Codicil dated Dec. 21, 1752, page 18. Inventory taken by David Keeler and Thaddeus Mead, and filed June 12, 1763, page 121.

BIRDSEY, Joseph, late of Stratford, will dated Dec. 3, 1756, probated July 4, 1757, mentioned his wife Tabitha and children Hannah Wells and Nathan, grandchildren Sarah Wells, Comfort Wells, Tabitha Wells, and Rebeccah Wells, children of my daughter Hannah Wells, also owned land in Waterbury. Executor his son Nathan. Witnesses Stiles Curtiss, Zechariah Blackman, Jr and Nathan Wells, page 553.

BLACKLEACH, Joseph, Captain, late of Stratford, will dated Aug. 9, 1754, probated July 14, 1756, mentioned his wife Anne and children Hudson, John, a minor, Sarah wife of Joseph Lewis, Anne Blackleach, Rebeckah Blackleach, Mabel Blackleach, Martha Blackleach, Urnia Blackleach, and Apame Blackleach, grandson Nathaniel a son of my daughter Abigail Wheeler, late of Stratford, deceased, granddaughter Anne Wheeler, a daughter of my daughter Abigail Wheeler (continued on page 252).
