SHERMAN, David, Lieut., Late of Stratfield, will dated Sept. 7, 1750, probated Aug. 4, 1752, mentioned his wife Sarah, and children Hannah wife of Solomon Burton, Sarah wife of Nehemiah Edwards, Mary Sherman, Elnathan, oldest son, and David, Youngest son, and brother Jonathan Sherman. Executor William Burr. Witnesses Lothrop Lewis, David Burr, Jr., and Sarah Burr. William Burr refused to qualify and letters to said Elnathan Sherman and Deacon Joseph Booth, both of Stratford, page 361. Inventory taken Nov. 27, 1752, by Theophilus Nickolls, Samuel Odell and Hezekiah Treadwell, and filed Dec. 5, 1752, page 363.
