PETTIT, Ann, late of Stamford, widow of John Pettit, Mch. 1, 1720/21, letters of administration on her estate granted to Jonathan Gold of Stamford, page 120.


PETTITT, John, late of Stamford, died Dec. 20, 1715, inventory taken by Samuel Hait, and filed July 23, 1716, by Hannah Pettit, Jonathan Pettit, and Jonathan Gold, administrators, page 19. July 23, 1716, account filed and estate ordered distributed to his widow Hannah Pettit, and children Jonathan, Samuel, Ebeneazer, Ann, and Mary, page 19. July 23, 1716, Samuel, a son of decedent, made choice of his brother John Pettit to be his guardian; the court appointed Ann Pettit, their mother, guardian of Ann and Mary, daughters of decedent; and the court appointed Samuel Weed of Stamford guardian of Ebeneazer, another son of decedent.


PHIPPEN, James, late of Stratford, inventory taken by Benjamin Sherman and Richard Nicoles, verified by his widow Johannah Phippen, and filed June 3, 1718, page 59. July 21, 1718, account filed, by his widow Johanna Phippen, administratrix, and estate ordered distributed by Benjamin Sherman, and Sergeant Richard Nicoles of Stratford to his widow Johanna Phippen, and children, four sons and three daughters, no names, page 59. July 3, 1718, Benjamin and Sarah, children of decedent, made choice of their mother, Johannah Phippen, to be their guardian; and the court appointed said Johanna Phippen guardian of James, another son of decedent, page 60.


PHIPPEN, Joseph, late of Fairfield, will dated Feb. 3, 1732/3, probated Feb. 6, 1732/3, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, and sister Mary English. Executors Ebenezer Silliman and Samuel Burr. Witnesses Samuel Hubel, Jonathan Middlebrook, and Ebeneazer Silliman, page 190. Inventory taken Feb. 6, 1732/3, by John Silliman and Nathaniel Burr, and filed Feb. 6, 1732/3, page 190a.
