MEAKER, Daniel, Sr., late of Fairfield, nuncupative will, dated Dec. 23, 1716, proved by Martha Morehouse wife of Thomas Morehouse, Sr., and John Smith, Jr., probated Dec. 26, 1716, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, and children Joseph, Benjamin, Samuel, Jonathan, Isaac the youngest son, Daniel, David, Rachel, and Hannah. Administrators His widow Elizabeth, and son Joseph, page 18. Mch. 21, 1717, Samuel Meaker, a son of decedent, made choice of his brother Daniel Meaker to be his guardian, page 18. Jan. 9, 1717, inventory taken by Gideon Allen and Gershom Bulkley, and filed Feb. 8, 1717, page 18. Apl. 24, 1721, Thomas Lyon of Newark, N.J., in the right of his wife Hannah, granted an appeal from the settlement of the estate and probate of the will, by John Stone of Stamford, his attorney, page 19.


MERCHANT, Hallet, late of Stratford, inventory taken Feb. 5, 1732/3, by Zachariah Beardslee, and Joseph Blackleach, and filed Mch. 6, 1732/3, by his widow Sarah Merchant, administratrix, page 197.


MINOR, John, Sr., Captain, late of Woodbury, died Sept. 16, 1719, will dated Aug. 17, 1719, probated Feb. 11, 1719/20, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, and children John, Thomas, Joseph, Ephraim, Johannah wife of William Gaylord, Sarah Curtiss, and Abigail Tredwell, of New Milford, Elizabeth Walker, Grace Grant, and (continued on page 271).
