SHERWOOD, Mary, late of Fairfield, will dated Mch. 22, 1711/2, probated May 7, 1712, mentioned her grandson Luke Guire, granddaughters Hellinah Guire, Mary Guire, Hannah Guire, and grandson Ebeneazer Guire. Executor grandson Luke Guire. Witnesses Daniel Adams and John Gold, page 201.

SHERWOOD, Mathew, Jr., Sergeant, late of Stratfield, will dated July 12, 1709, probated Nov. 21, 1709, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, and daughter Sarah Treadwell, and her issue, and if she die without issue, then to Nathaniel a son of brother Samuel Sherwood, and to John a son of brother Thomas Morehouse., who lives with me, "my son Timothy Treadwell to have the use of one acre" and legacy to the church at Stratfield. Executrix his wife Elizabeth. Overseers James Bennit and Ensign Samuel Hubbell. Witnesses James Bennit and Mary Bennit, page 154.

Inventory taken Nov. 17, 1709, by James Bennit, Samuel Hubbell and Richard Hubbell, had nine acres of the six mile division of Thomas Knoll's of Stratford, and filed Nov. 21, 1709, page 154a.


SHERWOOD, Mathew, Captain, late of Fairfield, will dated Apl. 14, 1713, probated Dec. 21, 1715, mentioned his wife Mary, and children Samuel, Lemuel, Ruth Treadwell, Mary Fitch, Sarah Fayerweather, and Ann Trowbridge, and granddaughter Jemia Sherwood, a daughter of my son John, mow deceased. Executrix his wife Mary. Witnesses Daniel Burr and Peter burr, page 345.
