MERRITT, Marah, late of Greenwich, wife of Thomas Merritt of Rye, Nov. 24, 1708, letters of administration on her estate granted to her son Still John Lockwood, page 125.

Inventory taken Jan. 31, 1707/8, by Jonathan Renolds and Joseph Knapp, and filed Nov. 24, 1708, page 125.

Marriage agreement dated June 3, 1696, between Marah Lockwood of Greenwich, sometime wife of Lieut Jonathan Lockwood deceased, and Sergeant Thomas Merritt of Rye. Witnesses Samuel Peck and Jonathan Renolds, page 125.

Jan. 26, 1708/9, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by Jonathan Renolds, Jr., and Joseph Knap to her children, Viz: Robert Lockwood, Gershom Lockwood, Joseph Lockwood, Abigaile Backstar and Still John Lockwood. page 125.


MILLS, Betty, of Norwalk, Aug. 7, 1750, made choice of her mother Sarah Mills of Norwalk to be her guardian, and the court appointed said Sarah Mills guardian of her two other children Mary Mills and John Mills, page 358.
