LYON, Joseph, late of Fairfield, Sept. 16, 1706, Samuel Lyon having been formerly empowered to place out the children of decedent, and having neglected David, the mother of said boy appealed to the court to have a guardian appointed and the court appointed Mary Bagly wife of John Bagly, to be his guardian, page 396.

In 1712, said David, made choice of his father in law, John Bagly, to be his guardian, page 387.


LYON, Margret, widow, late of Fairfield, Apl. 1705, letters of administration on her estate granted to Richard Lyon, page 135.

Inventory taken Mch. 23, 1705, by James Nicklyson, Daniel Adams, and Richard Lyon, had some things at Richard Lyon's, Joshua Jennings, Samuel Lyon, and at John Downses, and filed Apl. 1705, page 135.


LYON, Samuel, late of Greenwich, Dec. 1, 1713, letters of administration on his estate granted to Thomas Lyon, page 248.

Inventory taken Nov. 28, 1713, by Joshua Knap, Caleb Knap, and Samuel Maltby, and filed Dec. 1, 1713, page 268.

Dec. 1, 1713, account filed, decedent left no issue, and estate ordered distributed by Elisha Holly and John Holly, cooper, to decedent's brothers and sisters, two sisters being deceased, Viz: Thomas Lyon, John Lyon, Joseph Lyon, Sarah Merritt, Deborah Gove or cove, and the children of Elizabeth Marshall, said Thomas Lyon bought the shares of his sisters Abigail and Mary, page 265.


LYON, William, late of Fairfield, will dated Nov. 4, 1699, probated Jan. 8, 1700, mentioned wife Phebe, and children Nathaniel, William, and Moses, to whom he devised the Long Lot next to Joshua Knowles at Sasco Neck, and provided for an unborn child. Executrix his wife Phebe. Witnesses Nathan Gold and Samuel Gold, Page 8.

Inventory taken Dec. 23, 1700, by Philip Lewis and Jonathan Squire, and filed Jan. 8, 1799, page 8a.


MARSHALL, John, late of Greenwich, Wheelwright, will dated May 3, 1712, probated June 4, 1712, mentioned his present wife Elizabeth, and children Jon, Joseph (Continued on page 196).
