GILBERT, John, (continued from page 169), Nov. 5, 1710, account filed and estate ordered distributed by Captain John Hawley and Abraham Wooster to his widow and five children, three sons and two daughters, No names, page 175.

Nov. 22, 1710, the court appointed Ephraim Stiles of Stratford, guardian of Joseph, a son of decedent; Jonathan Gilbert guardian of Joseph, another son of decedent; Thomas, another son of decedent, made choice of his mother, Hannah Gilbert, to be his guardian, who was also appointed guardian of Sarah, the youngest child of decedent, page 391.


GILBERT, Joseph, late of Fairfield, will dated Dec. 28, 1699, probated Mch. 6, 1701, mentioned his wife Mary, and an only child Joseph, brother Obediah Gilbird.

Feb. 25, 1714/15, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by ensign Gideon Allen and Peter Bulkley, Jr., to his widow Jane Gilbert, and Children Elizabeth, Josiah, Hannah, Sarah, and Cathern, page 295a.

Feb. 25, 1715, Josiah a son of decedent, made choice of his mother to be his guardian, who was also appointed guardian of Hannah and Sarah, and Cathern, other children of decedent. page 295b.


GODFREE, Christopher, Sr., late of Fairfield, Jan. 4, 1715/16, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Ann Godfree, and her son Samuel Godfree, page 330.

Inventory taken Nov. 17, 1715, by John Lockwood, Samuel Osburn and John Andrews, had land bought of Cornelius Bunkeom and land bought of Robert Becham, and filed Jan. 4, 1715/16, page 329.
