COSIER, Richard, (continued from page 158), and John Stewart, mentioned his widow Abigail, and children John, ae. about 19 yrs: Thomas, ae. 1 yr.: Hezekiah, ae. 4 yrs last July; and Josiah, ae. 2 yrs last Mch; and filed Dec. 4, 1712, page 242.

Mch. 4, 1712/3, John, a son of decedent, made choice of Thomas Read of Norwalk to be his guardian, page 381.


COUCH, Simon, late of Fairfield, will dated Mch. 2, 1712/3, probated Apl. 7, 1713, mentioned his wife Abigail, brother Thomas Couch, and children of testator Abigail, Thomas, Simon, Hannah, Sarah, Isabell and Deborah. Executors his wife Abigail, and Jonathan Sturges. Witnesses Peter Burr and Jonathan Fanton. Jonathan Sturges refused to qualify as executor, page 251.

Apl. 7, 1713, Thomas Nash and Edward Jessup testified that they were at the house of the testator on Thursday Night Mch. 5, the night before he died; that testator gave property to Anthony in case he lived with is mistress, and that testator called to his son Thomas and said I have sold part of the land given you by your uncle Thomas to your uncle Samuel, page 251a.

Inventory taken by Samuel couch, Jonathan Sturges and Joseph Sturges, had land on Turkey Hill, land bought of Daniel Meaker, land at Norwalk bought of ____, Goldsmith, and of Moses Comstock, and 1/3 of his father's long lot; mentioned his children Abigail, born Jan. 31, 1693/4; Thomas, born June 9, 1695; Simon, born July 6, 1697; Hannah, born, Aug. 30, 1699; Sarah, born Mch. 30, 1706; Isabell, born Sept. 17, 1708; and Deborah, born Mch. 30, 1710; page 251a.


CROFOOT, Daniel, late of Fairfield, will dated Jan. 23, 1706/7, probated May 28, 1707, mentioned his wife Pheby, and three sons, no names, and son in law Nathaniel Lyon. Executrix his wife Pheby. Witnesses Samuel Squire and Nathan Adams, page 101.

Inventory taken May 26, 1707, by John Bagley and Daniel Adams, and filed May 28, 1707, page 101.
