BURR, John, Major, late of Fairfield, July 7, 1702, Samuel burr of Cambridge, Mass, acknowledged the receipt of his share of said estate, from his brother John Burr of Fairfield, as executor of the will of my honoured father John Burr, late of Fairfield, deceased. Witnesses Peter Burr, and Jonathan Burr page 25.

Apl. 10, 1707, Deborah burr, a daughter of decedent, made her choice of her cousin Sargeant John Burr to be her guardian, page 396.


BURR, John, late of Fairfield, died Nov. 1705, and on Dec. 11, 1705, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Elizabeth Burr, John Edwards, and Moses Dimon, page 82a.

Inventory taken Dec. 11, 1705, by John Thompson and Joseph Wakeman, mentioned his widow Elizabeth Burr, and children Andrew, Mary, Ann, and Elizabeth, and filed Dec. 11, 1705, page 82.

Apl. 29, 1708, account filed, showed payment of legacies (probably under the will of his father Major John Burr, deceased), to Mary burr and Deborah Burr; and Joseph Wakeman to the children of decedent, Viz: Andrew, Mary, Ann, and Elizabeth, page 120.

Apl. 29, 1708, the court appointed John Edwards guardian of Elizabeth, a daughter of decedent, and Sergeant Moses Dimon Guardian of Andrew and Ann, other children of decedent, and Mary, another daughter of decedent, made choice of John Edwards to be her guardian, page 120.

Mch. 6, 1708, Peter Burr, as attorney for Moses Dimon, the guardian of Andrew, a son of decedent, appeared before the court of Assistance at Hartford, and claimed that some of the said estate belonged to said Andrew, it having been left to him by his grandfather Major John Burr, deceased; and the same claim was presented by Richard Edwards, as attorney for John Edwards, the guardian of other children of decedent, page 120.


BURR, Jonathan, late of Fairfield, inventory taken Jan. 4, 1710, by Moses Dimon and Gideon Allen, Verified by his brother Samuel Burr, and filed Apl.; 2. 1712, page 205.
