KNAPP, Roger, late of Fairfield, will dated Mch. 31, 1691, probated Sept. 25, 1691, estate to his mother for life, remainder to his brother Nathaniel Knap, who, if he should die before his mother, leaving no heirs, the property to go to the children of the sister of testator. Witnesses Thomas Dickerson and Jonathan Morehouse, page 30.

Inventory taken May 13, 1691, by Jonathan Morehouse and Thomas Dickerson, and filed Sept. 23, 1691, page 50.

Nov. 23, 1691, account filed, and estate ordered distributed to Susan, Charles, and Alexander Lane, children of Charles Lane, who married Elizabeth Knap, a sister of testator, and to Mary Knap, a sister of testator, page 30.

KNELL'S Island, May 12, 1701, testimony in regard thereto; Samuel Fairchild, ae. about 60 yrs, testified, that in his younger days he went shooting on said Island, and that it was not divided by any stream, said Island granted to Nicolas Knell and lies in the midst of the harbor.

Jonathan Pitman, John Osburne, Samuel Squire, and John Smith also testified, at the request of Isack Knell. Withnesses Daniel Beardsley and John Burrowes, before Richard Blacklash, Justice, Joseph Curtis, records, John Beach and Daniel Brinsmead, Selectmen, page 218.

KNOWLES, John, late of Fairfield, Nov. 26, 1687, Sarah Knowles and Elizabeth Knowles, daughters of decedent, released Jehu Burr, and our Uncle Joshua Knowles, and John Burr, overseers of said estate. Witnesses George Squire and Daniel Bur, page 83. June 24, 1690, Rebeckah Knowles and Jonathan Morehouse made same release to the overseer of our honored father, John Knowles, deceased, page 83.

LARRANCE, (LAWRENCE), Thomas, late of Stamford, will dated July 25, 1691, died Aug. 16, 1691, probated Nov. 3, 1691, mentioned his sister Rebecka German( Warman) daughter in law Hannah, son in law Samuel Knap, kinswomen Martha Slauson, nephew Eleazer Slason, Jr., a son of sister Mary, sister Souder, nephew Johnathan Seuder, brother Eliphlet Jones, sister Martha Jones, Nephew Joseph Brown Jr., and brother in law Joseph Brown Sr., Executors Abraham Ambler (continued page 111).
