HOUGHTON (HORTON), Joseph, Lieut., of Rye, and Robert Bloomer, Jan. 24, 1682, their differences referred to Samuel Sherman, John Burr, and Daniel Burr, surety James Trans. page 195.

HAWLY, Ebenezer, late of Stratford, Dec. 27, 1681, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Hester Hawly, and overseers Major gold, Jehu Burr, and Joseph Hawly, page 68.
Inventory taken Oct. 3, 1681, and verified by Hester Hawly, filed Dec. 27, 1681, page 67.
Dec. 27, 1681, estate ordered distributed to his widow Hester, and children William and Elizabeth, recited that decedent, a son Joseph Hawly, of Stratford, entered into marriage agreement with Hester Ward, a daughter of Mrs. Deborah Tuppin of South Hampton, dated Apl. 19, 1678. Witnesses Samuel Wakeman and William Hill, pages 67 and 68.

HAYES, Nathaniel, of Fairfield, Oct 5, 1681, promised to pay a certain sum of money to Daniel Frost. Witnesses John Applegate and Joseph Sturgis, page 312.

HEDGES, Steven, late of Fairfield, will dated June 10, 1682, probated Dec. 25, 1683, legacies on account of kindness to testator to Hanna wife of Lieut. Esben Wakeman, Lieut. Cornelius Hull Sr., and Cornelius Hull, Jr., brothers Thomas, son of my father Roger Hedges of Westberry, Salisberry Plains, England, William Hedges, Joseph Hedges, John Hedges, and Andrew Hedges, all of England. In case my brothers or their heirs do not come to this country, then estate bequeathed as follows, $ 100. For publik use to be retained by Major Nathan Gold, Samuel Wakeman, and William Hill. The remainder of the estate to be divided between Hannah Wakeman, Cornelius Hull Jr., and John Osborn.
