CARNEY, Joseph, late of Stamford, died, Nov. 11, 1688, and on Dec.7, 1688, letters of administration on his estate granted to his son Joseph Carney, page 261. Inventory taken Dec. 7, 1688, by Jonathan Bell and Jonas Weed, and filed Dec. 7, 1688, page 261.

Thomas, of Carolina March, and Elizabeth Gibs, of New York, his wife , Sept, 17, 1681, were legally separated in New York. The said Thomas keeping the daughter Rebecca, and the daughter at Barbadoes, and the said Elizabeth having the daughter Martha and the Negro women Hager, Witnesses Thomas Lewis, Jocobus DeHart, and Nicholas Blake. GODWIN, John, a soldier, late of ____will dated Dec.1, 1675, probated in 1675/6, mentioned his sister Mary Jackson, Uncle John Smith, and brother Samuel Godwin. Witnesses William Hill and Thomas Sherwood, page 45.

GREGORY, John, of Norwalk, deed of gift dated Aug. 15, 1699, of all property to his wife Sarah. Witnesses Thomas Hanford and Thomas Benedick, page 265.

GREGORY, Sarah, of Norwalk, widow, Oct 9, 1689, appointed Thomas Hanford and Sergeant John Plat, both of Norwalk, overseers and administrators of her estate, and to distribute same to her children. Witnesses John Fitch and John Bets, page 266.
