BURGES, Phebe, widow, of Fairfield, 1686, released letter of attorney to John Applegate, and chose Samuel Sherman, Jr., and Josiah Nicols to manage her affairs. Witnesses John Wheler and John Osborn, page 193.

BURGIS, Richard, and Phebe Pecock, marriage agreement dated Oct. 6, 1677. Witnesses William Hill and John Burr, page 152.

BURGIS, Richard, late of Fairfield, inventory taken May 4, 1685, of the Fairfield property by Cornelius Hull, Sr., Josiah Harvy, and John Davis, and of the Stratford property by Samuel Sherman, Robert Lane, and Daniel Beardsly, and filed May 7, 1685, page 153.
May 7, 1685, James Clarke and Benjamin Beach, both of Stratford, and the widow appointed by the court to look after the estate, page 154.
May 27, 1685, estate ordered distributed to his widow Phebe Burgis and daughter Jane, about 18 years of age, and Thomas Wilson appointed her guardian, page 153 and 221.

BURRIT, Elizabeth, late of Stratford, will dated Sept. 2, 1681, probated Oct. 25, 1623, mentioned six grown children among them Steven. Mary Smith, and John Burrit, Legacies to Mr. Chancy, David Mitchell, and John Minor. Witnesses David Mitchell and Abraham Mitchell, page 95.
