NOTE BY FAMILY MEMBER, As further proof, the Connecticut, Town Marriage Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection) indicates that Simon Brown Jr. Married Mary Burgess on 11 Nov 1833.  That would not have been possible if he had died in 1819.

His wife Mary, is also buried in Putnam Heights Cemetery, next to Simon Jr., under the name Mary Young. (She remarried to Ezra Young after Simon Jr. died.)

To whom it may concern

I believe that there is a mistake on the website and in the associate records for the Putnam Heights Cemetery, Windham County.

Simon Brown Jr. is my 3^rd great grandfather.  I have personally visited the gravesite and taken photos of the headstone.  It appears that the year of death has been incorrectly transcribed.

The Website indicates date of death as Sept 23, 1819.   I believe the year is actually 1849 from the photos that I took and tracing the number with my finger.  

Website says “Brown, Simon, died Sept. 23, 1819, age 45 yrs 11 mos 4 days”

Attached photos show Simon Brown Jr.  died Sept 23 1849.

Other people are using the information on your site in their Genealogy research and are questioning my records and photos.

Would it be possible for you to correct your records to indicate what I believe is the correct date.
