July 20, 1996 Bob Miller I am trying to trace Robert Miller b abt 1650/60 m Elizabeth d 1711 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut. Robert had 5 children that I know of Robert b abt 1680, m 1st Mary Beckwith,2nd Joanna Alger and 3rd Lydia Roach. I am descended from Nicodemus Miller who was the first child of Robert's second marriage. John b abt 1682 m Merium, Sarah b abt 1686 m William Dowley, Henry b abt 1688 m Deliverance Page and Jacob b 1691, m Martha Thompson.

August 23, 1996 Charlie King I am looking for information on Joseph Loomer Thompson. He was born in Conn (per the US Census) 27 Dec 1821, married Harriet Harvey in Charleston RI in 1840, and lived most of his life in New London Co. He was in No Stonington, Stonington, Preston, and Bozrah. He died in 27 June 1887 in North Stonington. I presume he was related to Ebenezer Loomer of New London. Any information would be helpful. Sun, 01 Sep 1996Robert Stewart I want to make inquirey about Alexander Stewart. To frame the question, Alexander Stewart was refered to as 'Alexander of Norwich having reecently arrived from New London' when he was admitted to Plainfield twp, Winham Co., Ct. in 1728. There he married Amey Spaulding in 1734. I am trying to learn whether Alexander was born in Norwich or elsewhere. I guess frankly that I am trying to find out something or anything I can about Alexander. any help would be appreciated.

September 7, 1996 Elaine Merrell I would like any information on a Jonathan Weeks who was of New London at the time of marriage to Elizabeth Watrous 30 May 1797 or 1799. Jonathan Weeks was born @ 1782 and appears to have a brother Sebry born after 1784 and a brother Joseph born @ 1775. Joseph was called Joseph Jr., so it is possible that these 3 brothers were the son of Joseph Weeks. It states on Joseph's death certificate that he was born in Waterford, CT. Sep 15, 1996 Mark Merritt I have a copy of Joshua Hempstead's Diary from which I am more than willing to do lookups. As I'm sure you know, it has an index which is extensive but incomplete. I am willing to do name lookups which are indexed, but if the searcher can provide a time frame, I am quite willing to review and report on the dates near. Probably the most common of this type are publishing of intentions to marry and baptisms which JH recorded with rather thorough care.

Oct. 25, 1996 Martha M. Mulkin Searching for Mulkin(s) in New London Co. in 1700's and 1800's. Any information welcome. Especially want to locate the parents and family of John Mulkin (born 1792-1796), married Sally ? (don't know where), first appeared in NY census 1830 with Conn. as place of birth. Info from early researcher placed Mulkin family in Preston, Griswold, Pauchaug, with first known fact the marriage of John Mulkin 23 Jan 1734, Preston First Congregational Church.

Sat, 30 Nov 1996Thomas P. Turiel I am looking for information on the ancestory of Silas Brooks. Although I only know that he was born Connecticut in 1760, I do know that he fathered his first child in Lyme in 1780. After the Was of 1812, he lived in Delaware County, NY. He left a tremedous amount of paper work in his pension application for fighting in the Revolution.

Nov 26, 1996 Madelyn Allen. I am trying to establish a link between Wm Williams of Lebanon Ct b1731 d1811 and John Eugene Williams. The family story is John ran away from home at the age of 16, to the west and the gold fields. Home is said to be Boston. He married Maggie Fitzner in Nevada City Ca in apox 1880. John Eugene Williams is buried in Custer County South Dakota. Thanks
