22 January 1997-- Dorothy Willis --MYNARD/MINER I am looking for the family of Lemuel MYNARD. The info I have says he was born in Norwich about 1747. He married Susan BUTTON abt. 1778. They moved to Perrysburg, Cattaragus Co., NY in the early years of the 19th century. All of their children were born in Montville, New London Co., CT. These children were: Clara or Clarissa (m. Mr. FOOTE), Charlotte, Mary (m. Tabor PELTON), Lemuel or Nathaniel (m. Constance HURD), Susannah. This family is not the same as the MINOR family in the same area. Lemuel spelled his name MYNARD, but his children used MINER.

Lucy Angel was from Whitingham, Vt., dau. of James Angel. Their children included Rev. James Angel Fox, John B. Fox and Amy Brown Fox who married Edward Randolph of Pinckneyville, Wilkinson Co., Mississippi. I have some info. to share.

What was the marriage date of David and Betsey? What was Betsey's surname and who were her parents? Where were David and Betsey buried?
28 Mar 1997-- Jim Goold.-- Latimer family. I am trying to locate the probate records of Henry Latimer, who died on 18 Feb 1825. He and his wife Sarah (Christophers) are buried at Cedar Grove cemetery in New London. He owned land in Montville & I believe was a resident there. I have been unable to locate any sort of probate either in Montville or New London. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
17 May 1997-- Dianne Miller --I am looking for the birthdate of Betsy Fargo. She was born in Montville about 1793 the daughter of William Fargo and Mary Congdell. I would also like to verify her wedding date of Nov. 7, 1815. She married Samuel Mosher and moved to Otsego County in New York.

I am trying to trace the ancestors of Uriah CHURCH who
was born
in
Hartford, Lyme County? CT. 2/20/1740. He married Deborah
HUNGERFIELD
(b. 10/14/1743) . Uriah died 7/21/1826.
My
records show Uriah the son of John CHURCH
and Sarah
BECKLEY of New Haven. However there is a
mistake in
this record since John is shown as born 5/9/1636,
indicating
some missing generations. John CHURCH is listed as
the son
of Richard CHURCH born in London, 2/6/1610 and
d. 12/16/1667
in Hadley CT. Any help in tracing the ancestors
of Uriah
CHURCH would be appreciated.
12/01/97 -- William D. Read -- I'm interested in tracking the Hamilton family. They were residents of Montville/Ubcasville in the early 1800's. Ursula B. Hamilton married John Henry Lester of Norwich London 3/14/1841 in Bozrah. I think some of the Hamiltons are buried in the Comstock Cemetary in Uncasville. There are also some Lesters there too. 4/2/1998 -- Paula Yoder -- I am searching for any information on my gr.grandmother Mathilda Boisvert Davis born in Quebec 2/12/1863, married to Zachary Davis on 12/31/1888 in Norwich, Ct. and died 3/25/1943 in Montville, Ct. At the time of her death she was living with her daughter, Rosa A. Rheaume. Matilda's parents were Narcisse Boisvert and Mathilda Boisvert. At some point the Boisvert family went by the name of Greenwood. Mathilda Boisvert Davis was also known as Sara Greenwood Davis. Aside from Rosa, Mathilda and Zachary Davis had 5 other children that I know of. My grandmother, Sally Lydia Davis Brierley, twin boys-Alfred and Albert Davis, and two other sons, George and William Davis. Please, if you can help me with any information on any of the above mentioned people, I would greatly appreciate it!
