The
CTGenWeb Project will hold a logo contest during July and August
to choose an official logo for the state, county, and town sites. At
this time, we invite
and encourage CTGenWeb members to enter the contest with
their designs. We've included the approved USGenWeb logos
on this page, since the USGenWeb and CTGenWeb logos will appear
together on our pages.
Here is the
small print . . .
Contest
rules:
1. Entries
must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on August
15,
2008.
2. All
entries become the property of CTGenWeb, as
part of The USGenWeb Project, and will not be returned.
3. Only entries via email will be accepted. Send your finished logo
graphic in either JPEG or GIF format to grace.lasker@gmail.com.
Each
entry must include your name, address, daytime phone and email address.
The contact information will be kept private. Be sure to use
"CTGenWeb Logo Contest"
as your Subject so that Grace can process your entry.
4. By entering the contest, all participants unconditionally agree to
be bound by all terms of these contest rules.
5. All entries must be original works, produced by the entrant, and
must not contain any copyrighted material.
6. Logos should include the phrase CTGenWeb
somewhere in the design.
(note the capitalization)

The size should be approximately 163
x 93 pixels to be similar in size to accompany the USGenWeb logo
on each CTGenWeb entry
page.
8. By
entering a design, each entrant agrees and grants The
CTGenWeb Project the irrevocable right to make available, reproduce,
distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and
otherwise use the logo for any purpose in any form and on any media in
perpetuity without compensation.
9. All
eligible entries will be placed before a vote of
CTGenWeb members on August 18th,
and each CTGenWeb member will have until 11:59 p.m. EST on September
11th to vote
for his or
her favorite logo. (only one vote per member). The
top vote-getter will be CTGenWeb's Official Logo. In the
event of a tie for the highest number of votes, there will be a run off
vote. There is no monetary compensation for
this contest.
There's
a lot of talent out there, and we can't wait to see what you
